The Lowell Athletics & Activities Foundation is raising funds to renovate the outdated locker rooms at Cawley Memorial Stadium, a project that is part of their effort to transform the athletic complex into a state-of-the-art facility. The foundation, led by Chris Dick, the grandson of legendary coach Ray Riddick, is organizing a golf tournament to raise money for the renovation. The locker rooms, which have not been upgraded since Riddick’s coaching days in the 1970s, are in a deplorable state, and the foundation aims to raise $100,000 to improve the facilities. Former Lowell High football player John Blake Galvin Jr., who played in the NFL, has agreed to have the locker rooms named after him.
